At Inspamed, one of the leading healthcare facilities in the Czech Republic, a significant step was taken towards improving their services and internal processes. This journey began when we first met with their team, who approached us with specific needs and a vision for future development.

The Beginning of Our Collaboration

One autumn afternoon, we met with the Inspamed team at their office in Prague. It was immediately clear that their team was full of innovative ideas and was looking for ways to streamline their services. Inspamed saw a huge potential for optimizing their processes, which would allow them to provide even better care to their patients.

Identifying Opportunities for Improvement

During our discussions, we discovered that Inspamed handled many processes manually, which slowed down their operations, increased the risk of errors, and didn't allow them to process all the data available about their patients. We saw opportunities for improvement in several key areas to increase their efficiency and enhance patient care:

  • Effective Data Utilization: Better management and use of patient data to provide personalized care.

  • Automation of Performance Reporting: Increased accuracy and efficiency in communication with insurance companies.

SNADNEE's Solution

Our first steps involved a thorough analysis of the processes at Inspamed. It was essential to understand the activities of all employees—from receptionists and administrative workers to doctors and warehouse staff. This enabled us to design a solution precisely tailored to their needs.

Features of the Developed Solution

  1. Automatic Patient Registration and Digital Forms: Each new patient is automatically registered in the system, speeding up administrative processes and minimizing errors.

  2. Automatic Processing of Examination Documents: Using AWS Textract, documents from specialized examinations like ECGs are automatically processed, and relevant data is stored in the database.

  3. Complete Patient Visit Mapping: The system tracks each patient's visit from the initial consultation to the end of treatment, allowing doctors to quickly and efficiently access necessary information.

  4. Automated Performance Reporting for Insurers: The system automatically records required data into medical software and reports performances to insurers, ensuring accurate and fast payment processing.

  5. Notifications for Further Actions: Users are automatically notified of necessary next steps, ensuring smooth treatment and administrative processes.

Part of the solution also includes an advanced inventory module, which primarily:

  1. Stocking and Unstocking of Medical Equipment: The module allows stocking using code readers and automated unstocking according to individual patient needs.

  2. Automated Contract Creation for Insurers: The system automatically generates contracts based on the unstocked equipment, ensuring quick and error-free administrative processes.

Technology

The technological solution consists of technologies we know well and prefer for most of our projects, namely the PHP framework Laravel and Amazon Web Services. Specifically, in the Inspamed project, we use:

  • AWS Textract: This PDF document extraction tool enables automatic processing and analysis of specialized examinations.

  • Filament as Admin Panel: Facilitates easy management of all system settings and data.

  • Serverless AWS Services (Lambda): Ensures scalable and efficient operation of the entire system without the need for server management.

  • AWS VPN: Secure connection with the client's local network, ensuring data integrity and security.

Thanks to their innovative approach and thorough analysis, we can now better utilize patient data and minimize errors in our processes. The development of the entire system took approximately six months. We started in winter and worked intensively until summer, when we completed the basic part of the project.
