Digital revolution in the JS Lab

JS Lab, the largest dental laboratory in the Czech Republic, was faced with the challenge of effectively managing its extensive agenda. Although it had been in business since 1993, it was still struggling with a combination of partially digitized and paper-based processes, which included order management, denture calculations, billing, records of procedures and communication with doctors. It needed a comprehensive solution to connect and automate these processes.

Since we have already had a successful collaboration in creating their presentation website, JS Lab CEO Jiri Sedlacek decided to approach us with a solution to this problem.

Analysis and vision: the key to a more efficient future

digitalisation and through joint agile efforts with JS Lab, we created a comprehensive digital vision. Our solution included designing a functional web application that would meet all of JS Lab's needs.

Close collaboration with JS Lab and future users of the app was key throughout the project. As a result, we captured all requirements and needs and fully customized the application for them.

During development we focused on using the latest technologies, specifically the PHP framework Laravel, Vue.js and AWS cloud services. We paid special attention to developing the application as a Progressive Web Application (PWA), which allowed users to access it on different devices with high user-friendliness and efficient use of resources. The PWA provided fast loading, offline functionality and easy scaling for future development.

Digital Revolution in Practice: the MyDentLab Success Story

Thanks to a customized web application, JS Lab has transformed into a fully digitized and efficient lab. In addition, during the course of the collaboration we identified the potential for productization of the entire solution and offered it as the MyDentLab application, which is now not only used in JS Lab, but is also offered to other dental laboratories.

User feedback is also important to us. They appreciate not only the efficiency of their work, but also the user-friendliness, simplicity and speed of the web application. This significantly accelerates their adaptation to the new tool.
